Horse Riding

Horse Riding involves a Subtle yet profound connection between the horse and a human. There are many sports that involve horses. Some of them are Show Jumping, Eventing, Dressage, Tent Pegging, Vaulting, Driving, Polo etc. We are specialized in Show Jumping and Dressage, both are Olympic sports. Equestrian is a unique Olympic sport. In this sport, a horse is as much an athlete as its rider. In fact, it is the only existing event at the Olympics that involves an animal. Not only that, but it is also the only Olympic sport where men and women compete together in the same event. Therefore, it is a distinct sport in many ways.

Show Jumping:

Show jumping is a competitive equestrian event in which horse and rider are required to jump, usually within a time limit, a series of obstacles that have been designed for a particular show. Under Equestrian Federation of India, many competitions are held regionally and nationally across India. The horse is warmed up by walking and trotting for at least half an hour before entering the arena. The horse is guided by the rider toward the centre of each obstacle, his speed being contingent upon the breadth of each fence. Jumping events were held at the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris and have been held at every Olympics from 1912 in both individual and team competition. Sattva Equestrian Academy has a team of experienced and professional horseman, equine experts, grooms, veterinarians etc, who can take this sport to greater heights and pass on the skills to kids and adults of all age groups.

Dressage:

Dressage is a systematic and progressive training of riding horses to execute precisely any of a wide range of maneuvers, from the simplest riding gaits to the most intricate and difficult figures Competitions in dressage are regularly included in the Olympic Games, for individuals from 1912 and for teams from 1928. Of great importance to dressage is collection, in which the horse’s gaits are shortened and raised by bringing the balance rearward to lighten the forehand, thus giving special agility in a limited space. Dressage is often considered the equine equivalent of ballet. Horse and rider perform a “test” consisting of difficult moves and gait changes. Considerable training is required to master even the simplest of movements required during a dressage test.
